Description

NGC 1482 is a lenticular galaxy located in the constellation Eridanus. It is estimated to be 81 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light-years across. NGC 1482 is a member of the Eridanus galaxy cluster. It likely forms a gravitationally bound pair of galaxies with NGC 1481.
